Retail Manager
The contract is full time for a fixed term, and the annual salary is £28,000. Your working time will be 37.50 hours each week. The employer, National Trust, is a charity. You will be based at Charlecote Park, which is an estate, which could mean diversity in the role. Note some estates are far from public transport. It is located in Warwickshire.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Duration: This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
Internally you'll be known as a Retail Manager (Band 1).
Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll be leading a small team of 7 retail assistants and 18 retail volunteers. You'll be part of the leadership team at Charlecote Park, and will work closely with the Commercial Operation and Property Operation teams.To find out more about what it’s like to work within “Retail” at the National Trust, click here to watch our video.
Your focus every day will be on your customers: going out of your way to make sure they’re having their best possible day. You'll lead your team from the front, encouraging them to speak to people and listen to what they want. And also to inspire them, so that everyone who buys something knows just what a difference their contribution, however small, will make to the work of the Trust in protecting nature, beauty and history. You'll set stretching targets for the team, and work together to achieve these through the highest standards of customer service and presentation of retail products.

- experience leading and developing a team
- confidence to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability
- knowledge of risk management and compliance
- an experienced retail manager, familiar with standard processes (including selling, merchandising, space management, stock control, risk)
- skilled in coaching, developing and leading teams
- experienced in managing rotas and recruiting staff
- adept at getting maximum sales out of a retail outlet
