We’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Canons Ashby House & Gardens, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.

Salary: £12.25 per hour

Contract/duration: Permanent

Hours/working pattern: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 350 hours per year including weekend, and bank holiday working.

As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this role although is retail focussed, some workload maybe required to assist with the commercial outlets on property, including the Tearoom.

You’ll also talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.
